GRE Test Scores
Three scores are reported for the
GRE: an Analytical Writing score (ranging from 0 to 6 in 0.5 point
increments), a Verbal Reasoning score (ranging from 200 to 800 in 10 point
increments), and a Quantitative Reasoning score (ranging from 200 to 800 in 10
point increments).
For any section that contains no answer(s), a No Score (NS) will be reported.
How Schools & Programs use GRE Scores
Graduate schools use
GRE scores as an indicator of how well-prepared an applicant is for
graduate school. Although many factors are taken into account, an applicant's
GRE score is an important element in the selection process. Every
graduate school program, however, has a different policy on the weight of each
factor in the selection process. Contact your school directly for more
information.
