GMAT Test Scores
The score that is reported to business schools is your overall scaled score (ranging from 200 to 800). Verbal and Quantitative sections are scored from 0 to 60, and these sub-scores are manipulated to arrive at the overall scaled score. The Analytical Writing section is scored from 0 to 6 in 0.5 increments.
How Business Schools use GMAT Scores
Graduate schools use GMAT scores as an indicator of how well-prepared an applicant is for
advanced study in business school.
Although many factors are taken into account, an applicant's GMAT score is an
important element in the selection process.
Every business school program, however, has a different policy on the weight
of each factor in the selection process. Contact your school directly for more
information.
